Vitalik Buterin on zk-SNARKs – blog post

The co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin is a major fan of zk-SNARKs and it’s no secret that the long overdue version of ETH 2.0 may incorporate the groundbreaking technology in some form when it changes over from a proof of work protocol to a proof of stake.

In this recent blog post (An approximate introduction to how zk-SNARKs are possible) Vitalik attempts to explain the very complicated technology in a simplified way. Be warned, the simplified way is still pretty complex but it may help to gain a bit more insight into the technology and explain why Mina is potentially such a game changer in the world of blockchains.

It is also well known that the ETH and Mina Foundations have been working together behind the scenes and while the exact nature of the relationship is not clear at this time, the potential cross chain benefits of the cryptos working together it bode very well for the future of Mina Protocol.
